On April 21, 2025, the Tai Ahom community lost a true icon—Chitra Baruah Sir, a distinguished scholar and former Vice Principal of Naharkatia Higher Secondary School. A beacon of knowledge, his tireless efforts to promote Tipam tourism and preserve the rich Tai Ahom language and traditions touched countless lives. From organizing vibrant cultural events to educating generations, Chitra Baruah Sir’s legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of our community. As we mourn his passing, we pledge to carry forward his vision, ensuring his contributions continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
